We are in New Caledonia!
On May 24, 2008 we departed Newcastle
Australia to continue the Blind Circumnavigation for the 2008/2009 cruising
season. During our first passage we were knocked down by a wave on the
Coral Sea, causing damage to Starship. We are currently in Noumea, New
Caledonia making repairs.
Our intended route for this cruising year
is New Caledonia, Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and eventually Thailand for the
Indian Ocean Cyclone Season.
Important Dates
On October 11th 2004 at 12:35 pm we cast
off our lines and set sail for the Blind Circumnavigation!
On November 10, 2005, after sailing over
9,000 nautical miles we reached Whangarei, New Zealand becoming the
first legally blind people to cross the Pacific Ocean! We are so
